Hissing Roaches

The Gromphadorhina Portentosa Roaches, or Hissing Cockroaches, are among the best feeder roaches on the market for larger reptiles since they can reach an adult size of up to 4”. Although Hissing Cockroaches are able to climb smooth surfaces, requiring securely covered enclosures, if kept properly they have no odor. Gromphadorhina Portentosa Roaches are nutritious for a variety of reptiles because they are soft-bodied, high in protein, low in fat, and have a lot of meat. Because of their tendency to breed and grow slowly and their climbing ability, they are not the feeder of choice for some, but they are invaluable as prey for larger reptiles such as bearded dragons or uromastyx.

Hissers

Gromphadorhina Portentosa Roaches are very easy to care for and even easier to breed. For food, just give them fresh fruits, vegetables, and roach food regularly. You will also need to make sure their enclosure is clean, and provide them with water crystal gel. Hissing Cockroaches need to be heated and have an appropriate amount of humidity.
